Day 3

Hi all,

Today we explore the top of the mountains with the world's largest and highest gondola. It's called Peak to Peak 360.

First let me show you where we are staying. It's called " The Coast Blackcomb Suites " and we would highly recommended it. Our room comes with a living area full kitchen and fire place all for a hundred bucks a night. It's in the woods out away from the city center. But has a 30 min free shuttle right to the town center.

On Top of the World

IMG_1848.JPG

One nice thing about being married 50 years your wife will follow you anywhere.

IMG_1851.JPG

Prilly is saying "We would have never got Sue up here."

IMG_1855.JPG

It's a skiers paradise.

IMG_1856.JPG

There are miles and miles of trails up here to hike.

IMG_1857.JPG

Without seeing the people in this picture you can't really get an idea of distance.

IMG_1864.JPG

Looking across at this mountain we see this cool lake.

IMG_1869.JPG

Zooming in on it.

IMG_1870.JPG

Prilly says my hair looks like Trump.

IMG_1877.JPG

Now I got her wearing the pack. What a wife !

IMG_1884.JPG

What's taking her so long.

IMG_1894.JPG

Time to head back down to the Peak to Peak lift. We picked a great crystal clear day to do this.

IMG_1896.JPG

Now we have to hike over and up to get there.

IMG_1899.JPG

Heading over to Peak two

IMG_1915.JPG

This section takes about 20 minutes to cross and what a view.

IMG_1917.JPG

Looking down through the valley.

IMG_1930.JPG

Prilly is pondering the day's events. Really she is just exhausted from carrying my pack.

IMG_1932.JPG

Looking up the valley we see the snow that never melts. Does this make you want to ski or what ?

IMG_1953.JPG

We get down safe and sound. Tomorrow we will zip line down the mountain. They say one of our runs drop 2000 ft in 1.5 minutes. That should be a real rush.

See you then Prilly & Ralph
